bon harris

Bon Harris is an electronic musician and a founder member and principle writer/producer in the band Nitzer Ebb.

Bon has enjoyed a career in music production and live performance spanning over 40 years, including XX albums with Nitzer Ebb, studio production with artists such as The Smashing Pumpkins and Marilyn Manson, and various film and TV compositions.

During the 2020 pandemic lockdown, Bon embarked  on "songs:from the lemon tree". This was a series of mini concerts, filmed in his garden in LA, featuring heavily re-imagined electronic cover versions of songs that had an impact on Bon's life and musical development. The project saw Bon return to lead vocals for the first time since his "Maven" solo album produced in the early 2000's.

The concept for the project was to keep creative during lockdown, whilst providing some free, optimistic and engaging entertainment for an audience that had been confined to home and without live shows for many months.

The sets were very well received online, and Bon has subsequently performed live sets of selections from the filmed mini concert. A "songs:from the lemon tree" album is planned for release in the near future.

Immediately after the pandemic restrictions were lifted, Bon returned to touring and performing live with Nitzer Ebb, and resumed work on a solo EP titled mikro:funk.

The mikro:funk project combines Bon's approach avant garde modular synthesis combined with his love for the funk, soul and R&B tunes that influenced Bon through his childhood and teenage years in the 1970s.

Unique modular electronics mix with driving beats, live brass and soulful vocals from Bon and guest vocalist Katie Cole to create a fresh relateable 21st century funky sound.

Bon will continue to perform and tour with Nitzer Ebb, songs:from the lemon tree and mikro:funk throughout 2023 and beyond
